Art?

What is craft? what is art? some attribute Peter Volkous to breaking the boundaries between art and craft ceramics, but where does that leave the artist who makes art in the idealism of craft? When people ask me why i want to be a studio potter the only answer i can give them is, i want to make functional objects that a person can enjoy everyday. i do not believe that functional ceramics should be purchased as a decorative piece to only be viewed. I believe that functional ceramics should be used everyday, because they were created to be part of your everyday life.
